With the advent of the internet there has been a number of sites that have popped up to allow people to enjoy the full affect of pornography and special devices in their own homes. However, the interaction was what some people have always enjoyed. It seems more and more difficult for the adult book stores to remain in operation while there is the prevalence of sites that sell the same things on the internet. But, for the person who wants to enjoy the social interaction while they buy their favorite titles there is always the adult video arcade.

The store front usually is designed to sell the curious and demanding consumer magazines, movies and sexual aids that may be difficult to obtain at normal venues. Although the internet may have most of the same items, some hard to find and out of print titles may be easier to obtain through the video store. Magazines run the gamut from mild porn to fetish. The magazines are arranged so that the patron can browse the titles discreetly and then head to the adult video arcade if they wish.

An adult video arcade is a situation inside of an adult video store or a sex shop where patrons can enjoy the latest films from the industry. They are given a choice of titles that will play while they sit in a private booth and enjoy the show. The booths are generally in the back of the store and are very poorly lighted to allow for the privacy of the patrons.

Once a patron has entered a booth most stores will have a requirement that the videos continue to run for the entire time that the person is engaged. This ensures that while the patrons may engage in different forms of activity while in the booth, the store continues to make money. Upon entering the booth the viewer has a wide selection of videos that they can choose from. The controls allow for the user conduct what he or she is seeing on the video screen while allowing them to keep their hands free for other devices. The booths are generally only lit with either green or red bulbs to announce to other visitors that the booth is either ready for use or occupied.

Some adult video arcades also allow for personal interaction between the booths between consenting parties. Some of the booths will have a slot in them that allows two users to see each other and they can choose which movies they want to watch simultaneously. This will give them the chance to observe each other’s activities while they view the movies. Some of the booths are also equipped with a hole through which the patrons can physically interact.

The purpose of an adult video arcade is to provide people an outlet through which they can express themselves publicly. It also gives viewers a chance to purchase material that may not be available anywhere else and also experience different fantasies in the privacy of their own booth.
